My author name is KR LaLonde. I hope to write stories and books that will have a positive impact on others. That will make people think about what it means to be a Christian.

Many people think being called ‘a Christian’ is as easy as claiming to be saved. But becoming a true follower of Christ – a Christian – means a person’s life changes. You don’t become a legal – and knowledgeable – scientist by simply calling yourself that. You need to know things. But a professor of science must believe what he or she is explaining – just like any teacher must.

Why is that?

  • Because when you are teaching something, how can you do so effectively without believing it?
  • Because it will help you do what’s needed more effectively if you do.

Making book covers started out as a means to unleash some of my pent-up emotions. I experienced some strong feelings for someone who I met online, and though we became friends, it didn’t go beyond that.

I actually realized long ago that we truly weren’t compatible. And so I started making book covers as more of a hobby than anything else. But then I showed a few I made to a friend on Facebook and she thought they were really good. Even asked me to make one for her.

And that’s pretty much how I got started in the cover-making “business”.

  • I feel that in blogging publicly I’m more likely to reach people. And communicate with them.
  • I don’t plan to write only about my book covers. I also plan to talk about GOD ALMIGHTY, family, life, my TBI….
  • I’d like to connect with writers/authors, yes. But mostly I’d love to connect with people who need to hear what I have to say and share.
  • My biggest hope is to help others through my testimony. Selling a few book covers would be great, but sharing my writing and about me is my primary goal. Please let me know if I accomplish this.

I’ve been told and read about how we should let ourselves write something truly horrible at first. The first draft of a book is supposed to be mostly garbage. Expounding on a great story idea and plot isn’t easy by any means. I’ve been writing since I was a teenager, but nothing has ever been good enough to be published. Yet. I’m still hoping to get something written from start to finish – as well as have it read and critiqued by others – very soon.
